Privacy
Short version: this website collects nothing about you, and the software keeps everything on your own machine.
This website
These pages are plain files. They set no cookies, run no analytics, load nothing from another company and have no forms, so there is nothing for us to collect and nothing for us to keep. We hold no personal data about anyone who reads this site.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub receives your IP address when your browser asks for a page, in the same way any web server does, and uses it to serve the page and to guard against abuse. That processing is GitHub's, described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. We do not see those logs and receive nothing from them.
The Nextup software
Nextup is something you install on your own server. We never see it, and it never contacts us. There is no account with Lightmorphic, no licence check and no usage reporting of any kind.
What your own copy stores, on your own disk:
- The shows and films you added, and which episodes you marked as watched.
- Your username and a hashed password. The password itself is never stored.
- Your TMDB API key, encrypted with a key held in the same directory.
- Artwork downloaded from TMDB, cached so pages do not call out to anyone.
All of it sits in the one directory you chose when you installed it. You are the only person who can reach it, and deleting that directory deletes everything.
What Nextup sends out
One thing only: requests to TMDB, made by your server, asking about the shows and films you looked up and fetching their artwork. TMDB therefore sees your server's IP address and what you searched for. Their handling of that is covered by the TMDB privacy policy. If you would rather not have that happen, do not add a TMDB key, though then the app has nothing to look up.
Your rights
